The Quicksilver 893404 aluminum anode was specially developed for Mercury Verado L6 outboard engines in the 200 to 400 hp range. The anode is mounted on the power trim plate and reliably protects the outboard engine from the harmful effects of galvanic corrosion, one of the most common causes of damage to underwater components.

The anode is made of high-quality aluminum and meets or exceeds the strict military standard MIL‑A‑24779(SH). This provides a longer service life and better protection than zinc anodes, in both fresh and salt water.
