Mercury's primer pretreatment and painting process is specially designed for use in salt water. They ensure long-lasting protection of the cast aluminum parts and are an essential part of the exceptional corrosion resistance of the 20 hp and 15 hp EFI FourStrokes. Low-copper aluminum alloys prevent corrosion to keep your outboard motor healthy and powerful; all of Mercury's industry-leading aluminum alloys offer the best protection against corrosion.

The innovative steering tiller for the new 20 hp and 15 hp outboard motors sets a new standard for portable outboard tiller steering and offers unprecedented features, functions, and craftsmanship. The new ergonomic and efficient tiller designs improve your boating experience with exceptional comfort and functionality, for example:

Horizontal tiller angle adjustment offers comfort and easy operation with two-handed steering. The steering tiller can be adjusted for right- or left-handed steering. Problem-free steering, no matter where you sit.
Similarly, the reversible throttle handle rotation allows the handle rotation to be adjusted for optimal comfort; no matter which arm you steer with, you can choose the direction of the throttle handle.
Driving is made easier by a vertical end position adjustment, with which you can quickly and easily adjust a vertical operating angle without tools.
The automatic throttle return spring of the tiller handle brings the throttle to idle when you release the throttle handle. The stop button is located at the end of the handle for quick and easy access.
There is also a tiller angle option, with which you can lock the tiller up at 73 degrees, which is great for fishing and transport on a trailer.
You can adjust the throttle response on the go to suit your driving preferences. By locking the throttle response, you can maintain the desired speed.

Before delivery, we subject every outboard motor that leaves our house to a pre-delivery inspection (PDI), which is also mandatory by the manufacturers for possible warranty claims. This PDI is of course free for the end customer! The PDI includes a full functional check in one of our test pools in all operating conditions. Thus, you can be sure that you receive a fully functional motor. The shipment is made in the original protective packaging, whereby the motor is transported "dry" and cleaned, i.e., fuels and engine oil are removed from the motor. We of course include a sufficient amount of new engine oil for refilling with every motor. You can find filling instructions in the user manual, which is included in the delivery.
