The Mercury Flo‑Torq® SSR Propeller Hub Kit 8M0150151 was specially developed to significantly reduce shifting noise ("shift clunk") and vibrations, enabling smoother, quieter shifting. The core component is the Soft‑Shift Rubber (SSR), which dampens shocks when shifting gears while protecting the drivetrain from minor, damage-causing loads.
The kit is suitable for Mercury and Mariner outboard engines from 40 hp Command Thrust to 225 hp FourStroke with a 1-inch propeller shaft. It represents an upgrade over Flo‑Torq® II and is also a replacement for Flo‑Torq® III and IV hub kits.
Like all Mercury Precision Parts, this hub kit was also developed and tested according to strict OEM specifications to ensure optimal fit, function, and performance.
