AZUR VT by Yachtcare / Vosschemie is a high-quality, cobalt-accelerated, styrene-free polyester resin based on vinyl toluene. As a low-viscosity, thixotropic orthophthalic resin, it is designed for medium-stress applications and impresses with easy handling, good wetting properties, and stable curing.
The resin is processed with 1–3% MEKP hardener and can be used in wet layers up to 7 mm thick. Thanks to "peak braking," the reaction temperature does not rise too sharply during curing, allowing even thicker laminates to be cured reliably.
AZUR VT is ideally suited for both the hand lay-up process with fiberglass mats and fabrics as well as for use as a casting resin with fillers.

Consumption:
- 3 × fiberglass mat weight

- Chemical resistance: good against water, weak acids & alkalis
Processing
- Mix the resin with 1–3% MEKP hardener.
- Process at 18–25 °C for optimal results.
- Ideal for the hand lay-up process with a felt roller.
- After wetting, de-air fiberglass mats/fabrics with a squeegee roller.
- Subsequently finish the components with topcoat to obtain a non-sticky surface.
- Hardener dosage:
- 1–3 mm: 3% hardener, approx. 20 minutes pot life
- 2–4 mm: 2% hardener, approx. 25 minutes
- 3–7 mm: 1% hardener, approx. 30 minutes
- In case of work interruptions: apply the final layer with only 1% MEKP.
- Resuming within 48 hours is recommended; sand it down later.
